On the Importance of a Name
In recent years, many people become more and more concerned about the importance of a name. They choose very carefully the names for their children and sometimes even for the shop, restaurant or the company they run. They consider that a name can influence a person’s whole life. What’s more, some people believe that sometimes a good name would bring good luck.
However, people’s view varies from person to person. Not everyone thinks a deliberately chosen name really means so much. They argue that a name is just a name, to which people shouldn’t attach too much superstitious ideas. Success depends much more on hardworking and down-to-earth attitude than how you name a shop or a person.
As far as I am concerned, I favor the latter opinion. Although a carefully chosen name can tell the best wishes of the elder for the young generation, we still ought not to rely on the fortune a name can bring, nor can we blame our occasional bad luck on it. （160詞）
從命題形式上看，近幾年的六級作文題幾乎沒有變化，均為提綱式命題作文，而且都是典型的三段式結構，比較好寫。由此看來，命題者在命題形式上保持了相對的穩定性，便于考生學習復習過程中有的放矢。
從寫作的題材要求看，與往年的有點不一樣。過去的寫作內容往往涉及學生的學習生活等學生們最為熟悉的內容，如08年寫“大學生心理健康”、“電子圖書”，07年的“數字化產品”、“雷鋒精神”，06年“閱讀經典著作”等，都是大學生們再熟悉不過的東西。
今年要求寫“名字的重要性”，從題材上看也許有些讓人意外，但實際上是在情理之中。寫作考查考生的語言運用能力，打好了足夠的語言基礎，任何題目都能展示考生的語言運用能力，因此，從某種意義上講，也可看作一種“反押題”的宣示。“名字的重要性”這個命題出的相當的好。一方面避開了猜題押題的投機行為，更重要的是以考試的形式，向學生灌輸“提倡科學，反對迷信”的思想，對幫助大學生樹立正確的人生觀有著非常正面的積極意義。
“命名的重要性”雖然不是學生特別熟悉或看重的內容，但也是社會熱點之一。由此看來，為了增強我們今后復習備考的針對性，我們必須還要關注身邊的小事、社會熱點等，時刻做有心人。
行文思路：
1)根據題綱“有人認為名字很重要”提出這種社會現象，列舉一到三個例子，分析這種現象的原因及人們的心理。
2)采用正確的段落過渡手段，引出有人持不同看法，如However, people’s view varies from person to person等。進而指出名字與運氣、名字與成功的關系，同時對這種迷信思想給與批判。
3)支持上面的一種觀點，簡單說說理由，指出名字沒有好壞，它與運氣和成功沒有因果關系。
在具體寫作過程中，考生要把握以下幾點：第一、提出清晰的觀點，然后作出符合邏輯的展開。首先考慮好觀點，再將觀點展開并劃分成多個短句，最后按英語的語法句法特點和要求進行表述。第二、表達時用自己有把握的句型句式，不要僅僅為了突出所謂的新意而找些生僻詞匯，也許沒記準而出現拼寫錯誤，也許用詞不當，類似問題要盡量避免。第三、在熟練準確的基礎上用少量的大詞和較為復雜的句型結構，會為文章增色不少，使文章的得分檔次得到提升。如范文中的詞匯deliberately chosen name，down-to-earth attitude及句型to which people shouldn’t attach too much superstitious ideas等都是文章的閃光點。 |
