1. as you say
表示勉強地同意他人的要求或命令時的用語，“遵命，好吧”
如：-I want this done right now.
-As you say, sir.
-立即把它做出來
-好，就做出來，先生。
2.dare I say it
要說可能使用對方不高興或失望的話，因此為引導“說句不中聽的話,說的難聽一點”
如：The British singers, dare I say it, are only middling.
英國的歌手，說句不中聽的話，不怎么樣。
3.don't say
表示反感，驚訝，不耐煩，懷疑“可別又扯什么……”
如：Don't say you have broken another cup.
我可不想聽到你又打了個杯子啊。
4.easier said than done
“說起來容易，做起來難”
如：Persuading a child to eat is easier said than done.
哄孩子吃飯真是說起來容易做起來難啊。
5.I can't say
委婉地表示不贊同或否定“恐怕我不……”
如：I can't say I want to go and visit your parents this week.
周末我不太想去見你的父母。 |
